Schimmelblatt. Sauermilch auf Bütten (großteils zersetzt) in Plastikfolie. Rechts unten signiert, datiert und mit “A.P.” bezeichnet. Herausgegeben von Art Intermedia, Köln, 1969. Ursprüngliche Blattmaße: 105,5 x 77 cm. Auf Pressspahnplatte im musealen Naturholzrahmen (109,5 x 86,5 cm) unter Plexiglas montiert, Rahmenrückwand mit einem unbeschrifteten Etikett der staatlichen Kunsthalle Baden-Baden und einem ausgefüllten Etikett des Kunstmuseums Den Haag (“Haags Gemeentemuseum”), ungeöffnet (Etikett Haags Gemeentemuseum mit kleinen Fehlstellen, Rahmen oben wurmspurig und etwas bestoßen).

Dobke 112 – bücher und grafik 112. – Eins von 5 (GA 55) mit “A.P.” bezeichneten Exemplaren. – Die vorliegende Arbeit wurde im Jahr 1972 auf den Ausstellungen “Dieter Roth – Grafik und Bücher” u.a. in Baden-Baden und Den Haag gezeigt. – “In 1971, Dieter Roth, Hansjörg Mayer and Hanns Sohm organised the first retrospective touring exhibition of his graphic work… The exhibition was organised with the assistance of the Haags Gemeentemuseum, from whence it toured to Kunsthalle Basel, Helmhaus Zürich, Kunsthalle Baden Baden, the Hayward Gallery in London, the Akademie der Künste in Berlin, Kunsthalle Düsseldorf, and Vancouver Art Gallery, before ending in the Mannheim Kunstverein.” (Dobke S. 18). – “…the work of art consists of decomposition of the paper and milk from which it is made, with no further intervention by the artist. The soft hand-made paper absorbed the milk that was poured over it, and then mould spores and other micro-organisms were left to attack the liquid and in part the paper.
