art & project bulletin

art & project bulletin. 96 Ausgaben. Mit zahlreichen Abbildungen. Amsterdam, 1969-1981. Meist Doppelblätter. 29,5 x 21 cm.
Die umfangreiche Sammlung der berühmten Reihe enthält die Ausgaben: 6-14, 17-23, 26-46, 48, 50-75, 77-78, 80-103, 106-108, 124, 125 und “catalogue of our bulletins”. – “The three other pages are put at the artist’s disposal so that he or she can create a work for the occasion and for the format. Several of the issues are particularly remarkable, such as No. 43, for which Sol LeWitt simply folded the white paper into squares; or No. 24, a nonproject by Daniel Buren, who decided that this issue would not have a material existence but would nevertheless be numbered in the series. The role of these bulletins thus goes beyond the straight forward announcement of an exhibition. They immediately suggest little movable works that travel by post or are taken away from the gallery by the visitor. In this way, art and information about art become one. They also make it possible for the artist to reach a much wider public than that of the gallery.” (Anne Moeglin-Delcroix. Extra Art: A Survey of Artists Ephemera, 1960-1999. 2001) – U.a. mit den Ausgaben von Marcel Brooddthaers (66), Stanley Brouwn (8, 11, 38, 63, 69, 94), Sol Lewitt (32, 43, 18, 60 und 88), Ger van Elk (19, 55, 65, 74, 100), Richard Long (35, 71, 90, 99), Bas Jan Ader (44, 89), Jan Dibbets (36, 56, 46), Hanne Darboven (28, 64, 95), Lawrence Weiner (53, 54, 72), Daniel Buren (75) u.v.a. – Teils ungefalzt, teils auf Briefformat gefalzt mit gedruckten Adressen und gelaufenen Briefmarken, teils leicht gebräunt oder leicht fleckig, insgesamt jedoch sehr gut erhalten.
